My PC will only upload things, merely cannot download anything. Information technology's connected past ethernet cable (and the only thing in my house continued by ethernet cable). No downloads results in no access to webpages, the router doesn't detect it every bit an fastened device, and other download-related things. But every other figurer in the house works with the internet. Whatever assistance hither?
Router: Netgear DGN2000
No HARDCORE downloading is going on, and the ethernet cable is plugged in properly.

How practice y'all know you take upload and no download? If yous're router does not recognise it equally an attached device there should be no network traffic at all. Besides from your pc perchance pinging your router to bank check if at that place's a connection (perhaps you're reading this as upload). Can you please bank check this in control panel to come across if you have a connection to the router and whether yous have a connection to the internet: Control panel -> Network and cyberspace -> Network and sharing center From here yous should exist able to see whether you computer is connected to your router which has a connection to the internet. If you're connected to your router then y'all should run into a full connection to the internet assuming your router is in fact continued to the internet. If you're connected to the internet then just attempt pinging google, blazon "ping www.google.co.united kingdom of great britain and northern ireland". If you lot get replies then your pc is connected to the cyberspace and the problem lies elsewhere. If not then please bank check you're connected to the router by typing "ipconfig" in cmd prompt and try pinging the default gateway ip (usually 192.168.one.254"). If you get replies here then you're connected to your router.
From the looks of your router model though you should also be able to see some sort of indication when your pc is connected via ethernet as the router should light up that ethernet connetion port no.
Please report back with what y'all find out. Also every bit an aside can you effort connecting wirelessly and run into if you can become a connection to the internet and report dorsum? Also requite it some other shot by connecting the estimator to a different ethernet port and rebooting the router (standard process things).
Thank you and all-time of luck.
Also what practice y'all hateful by "HARDCORE" downloading?

How practise you know y'all have upload and no download? If y'all're router does non recognise information technology as an attached device there should be no network traffic at all. In reply to l1ghtm4st3r:
I was using NetBalancer, and that showed some uploads being used (very few, though.) I somehow fixed the problem with a combination of removing every firewall rule, changing the QoS policy and using another ethernet cablevision. In network and sharing center, it showed information technology was non continued to a network. That's all I have to say, really.
